Atlantic Consulting releases two studies on LPG
These studies show the lower carbon and lower air-quality footprints of LPG in Europe.

Atlantic Consulting provides environmental, economic and cost analyses with a focus on the energy and chemical industries. In some 100 carbon footprints and life-cycle assessments, this consultancy has experience in all types of industries from automobiles to consumer goods to energies - fossil fuels, renewable energy in transport, heating and power generation.  They have worked for government, industry and organizations like the International Energy Agency.

    Sustainable

SustainableFor a hundred years, LPG has played a valuable role in meeting the world’s energy needs. Looking ahead, LPG has the opportunity to enhance this role by also helping to combat global climate change.

In comparison to most hydrocarbons, LPG generates lower amounts of carbon dioxide per amount of heat produced.

LPG has an excellent record on air pollution and its simple molecular structure makes it easily combustible, giving it a lower emissions profile (NOx, particle matters) than most other fossil fuels.

LPG also aids the development of renewable energy sources since it serves as a cleaner back-up for intermittent renewable energies such as solar, wind, small hydro and geo-thermal.
